Goodwill Industries of New Mexico

Young workerOur mission is to provide skill development and work opportunities for people with barriers to employment.

We define barriers as:

• learning disabilities
• homelessness
• single parenthood
• language barriers
• extended absence from the workforce
• felony history
• lack of external supports
• substance abuse
• domestic violence
• mental and physical challenges
• brain injuries

• difficulty interviewing
• lack of education and intellectual disabilities

Good employees are the basic building block of our economy. A good job is the foundation for pursuing a quality life, along with education and a positive attitude. At Goodwill Industries of New Mexico, we support both.

We are more than just a retail store. The revenue we receive from sales of gently used clothing and goods is applied to our 24 Workforce Development programs to achieve our mission.

In 2008, we will provide assessment, training and/or referral services to 5,200 New Mexicans and place 700 New Mexicans in competitive, community employment. We cannot achieve these milestones without the support of your donations and purchases. Thank you!

Please take a moment to learn about our programs and how you can get involved.
