Introducing Goodwill Home Pickups!

Time to clean out your closet! Donating your unwanted household items is now easier and more convenient with Goodwill Industries of New Mexico’s new home donation pick-up program. If you don’t have a truck or can’t transport heavy furniture, it’s no problem. Goodwill will come to you.

Pickups occur between 8 AM and 3 PM Monday through Friday, and you do not need to be home for Goodwill to collect your donations. There is a minimum of three boxes, bags, or furniture items to qualify for pick-up services, but feel free to donate more than that. Just label your items for “Goodwill pick-up” and make sure they are left outside on the ground level – unfortunately Goodwill is unable to go into your home to gather any donations. Also, make sure your donations are properly covered or packaged to avoid any damage – especially if it rains. A receipt for your tax deductible donation will be left at your front door. At this time, Goodwill is unable to pick up donations in all areas of Albuquerque and New Mexico, but the nonprofit organization hopes to expand the donation pickups in the future.

You can schedule your pick-up online using the new online donation pick-up appointment scheduling system. Just type in your zip code and specify your type of pick-up (residential, business, or vehicle) to get started.

I have a really cool dresser that looks like a steamer trunk, but two of the drawer rails/slides don't slide right. Can Goodwill fix it? If not, is there some other place in town that would take it and fix it up? With only a little work it's very nice. -- Jon

I left a note on port crib in a bag for what to pick up and leave My tarps don't go that cover up the stuffs with everything under tarps go and few thing out in front if tarps go and nothing else go the other side only on-the-go tarps up in front of fence tarps are got stuff to hold it down please don't tarps my tarp leave inside fence thank

I had you people pickup a few furniture pieces from the NE Heights a couple of weeks ago. In one small item, we may have left some small pieces that are for an item we kept. Is there a way to know which location my donation went to?

I have a truly cool dresser that resembles a liner trunk, however two of the pull-out rails/slides don't slide right. Would goodwill be able to fix it? If not, is there some other spot around that would take it and fix it up? With just a little work it's extremely decent.

Lawrence at the Goodwill on Southern told me of this service. We are flying in from California to clean out my father-in-law's apartment. We have a dresser (about 5-6 ft long, bookcases, lamp stand, sofa, end table, kitchen table, and a few miscellaneous items of which are in very good condition. Is is possible we can arrange for pickup and delivery to the Southern Ave store on this Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. Address is 920 Riverview Dr, Rio Rancho. It is on second floor with elevator and stairwell. Please reply ASAP as we have to get all this planned out to accomplish between Sept 18 and Sept 20.

Thank you very much for your inquiry! Unfortunately there are a few hurdles. We only offer pickups Monday - Friday and the Monday you are interested in is completely booked. Also, we require items to be located at ground-level. With more time we may have been able to organize a solution but it seems like we are not able to serve you in this particular situation. We are very sorry to miss this opportunity!

I have several big items for donation and I can't take them to Goodwill myself. Just a few weeks or a couple of months ago, I donated several other large items and you guys came and picked them up. Now when I try to schedule a pickup, it says my zip code/area is not being serviced... what changed?
