Google Certificate Program
Goodwill Industries of New Mexico offers full scholarships for two Google professional certificate courses, IT Support, and Data Analytics. These courses are designed to equip job seekers with the advanced skills and knowledge needed to successfully find and maintain employment in today’s competitive job market. No degrees, computer, or prior IT or Data Analytics experience is required, just the desire to start an exciting new career in IT or Data Analytics.

Prepare for a career in the high-growth IT field; no experience or degree is required. Get professional training designed by Google and get on the fast track to a competitively paid job. There are 400,000 U.S. job openings in IT and a $52,000 median entry-level salary in IT support.¹
The IT Support certificate program contains five courses, requires ten or more hours of independent coursework per week and can be completed in approximately six months. Over the course of the program, you will learn in-demand skills that prepare you for an entry-level job. Topics covered include technical support fundamentals, computer networking, operating systems, system administration, IT infrastructure, and IT security. Upon completion, you can directly apply for jobs with Google and over 150 U.S. employers, including Walmart, Best Buy, and Astreya. 75% of Google Career Certificate graduates in the United States report an improvement in their career trajectory (e.g., new job or career, promotion or raise) within six months of certificate completion.² Goodwill offers job placement and resume assistance, interviewing, and soft skills training upon completion of the program, and graduates have the opportunity to share their resumes with local hiring managers. This program also prepares you for the CompTIA A+ exams, the industry-standard certification for IT—you’ll earn a dual credential when you complete both.
