Solar Installer Training Program

Get hands-on solar installer training through our free four-week course in Albuquerque... and get paid while you train! The fast-growing solar industry has a high demand for knowledgeable installers. You can also benefit from a host of Goodwill support services to meet your unique needs. 
Applications are now CLOSED for the June 2025 program. If you applied but were not selected for June, your application will be considered for the next session. There is no need to re-apply.

Training Specifics

This is a four-week training course, 40 hours per week. Program participants must be 18 or over and a high school graduate or equivalent, comfortable with heights (e.g., climbing roofs) and exposure to a variety of external elements and weather. Goodwill®, in partnership with Accenture and other organizations, launched the Goodwill Clean Tech Accelerator, a groundbreaking workforce development program to train people to fill the most in-demand entry-level clean energy jobs. Goodwill Industries of New Mexico’s Solar Installer Training program is offered through the Goodwill Clean Tech Accelerator Program.
