Goodwill Industries of New Mexico, whose mission is “to provide skills training, job development, and social services to New Mexicans”, saw the need and opportunity to provide specialized training in the call center field. The resulting program, which held its first training class in July of 2016, also provides participants the opportunity to meet face-to-face with Call Center Human Resource representatives looking for employees with skilled training. And like all Goodwill services, the Call Center Training Program is provided free of charge to New Mexicans.
This grant will help hundreds of New Mexicans in gaining long-term, sustainable and well-paying jobs in New Mexico’s expansive Call Center industry. All of us at GINM feel fortunate, beyond all measure, for Walmart’s support.
