190,000 Reasons to Love Thrifting at Goodwill
Leroy loved second-hand shopping at Goodwill. On one special shopping trip, he noticed a framed oil painting which appeared to be quite old. Leroy was thrilled because he guessed his $3 find could be worth several hundred dollars. Leroy happily hung the framed piece on his wall and went on with daily life. It was his inquisitive daughter-in-law who brought the picture to the popular Antiques Roadshow to research its history. Leroy learned his $3 oil painting was from the mid 17th century. He sold it through an auction for an unbelievable $190,000.
