Jose: A Success Story

Jose heard about Goodwill Industries of New Mexico's programs for veterans from a family member and enrolled in Supportive Services for Veteran Families. As a participant, he learned about resume writing, interview skills, job retention, and financial management.

Jose then began the paid on-the-job training offered through Goodwill's TrialWorks program. In TrialWorks, Jose learned about sorting recyclable materials by categories, using pallet jacks, balers, and tippers to successfully meet production goals. He also obtained his forklift certification, which was an outstanding skill to include on his resume.
