Jose heard about the veterans programs at Goodwill Industries of New Mexico from a family member and enrolled in Supportive Services for Veteran Families.  As a participant, he learned about resume writing, interview skills, job retention, as well as financial management.
 
Jose then began the paid on the job training offered through Goodwill's TrialWorks program. In TrialWorks, Jose learned about sorting recyclable materials by categories, utilized pallet jacks, balers, and tippers to successfully meet production goals. He also obtained his forklift certification which was an outstanding skill to include on his resume.
